Reflection Paper in E-tech Subject

      Empowerment technology subject is all about technology. When I encountered this subject I gained a lot of knowledge from beginning until now. A knowledge that helps us to grow by our own understanding through the use and about technology. Some people says that  Empowerment technology is a boring subject, but in my mind that E-tech subject is very important to learn because in our generation technology is very useful. We need to learn and have a knowledge about technology in order for us to know what is the advantage and disadvantage of using it and also to learned a lot about technology.

             In first lesson we discuss about the ICT or Information Communication Technology. ICT is the communication technology such as mobile phones, telephone, internet, to locate , save, and send information or files. Internet is important also to connect to the other computers through servers and routers. Me as an ABM student , ICT is important to learn because it is very useful in business to communicate to the consumers, producers, and other part of the business . ICT has a great part of our history and this generation because through social media and other part of ict it helps us to get information, to communicate with others, and delivered messages through mobile phones . I learned also about the types of website that is static web and dynamic web. Static web means the page is cannot be manipulated by the users or unchanged while the dynamic web is a page that can be operate more and easier to maintain, update, and expand.

        

             In all about the web "key features of web 2.0" have a different types. The first is folksonomy that use to categorize information, rich user interface is a content of dynamic that is changing, user participation means that others have a right to comment or review about your post, and the last one is the long tail that subscribing to a data plan that charges you for amount of time you spent on internet. Empowerment technology also helps us to know the six types of social media. Social media helps like me as an ABM student about on my homework that encourage me to search in google and chat to your classmates to ask for any projects or activities through facebook. In empowerment technology you learned about safety and security online like for not sharing your personal information because you did'nt know the background of that person because theres a chance that he/she might access your personal information. The internet threats help me to know on how to be secure in online. I learned about the three types of internet threats that is malware,spyware, adware. Empowerment technology helps us to provide and give our needs in terms of communication . By teaching this subject I learned a lot that I do not understand , eventhough it is difficult for us to understand some lesson but if you give some effort for this subject to learned you gained a lot that is important for you to know.  Empowerment technology helps my knowledge to grow.

   The Role of ICT in Recent History ( Yolanda People Finder)

               A year ago, the tacloban city the province of leyte was hit by the storm that is the most powerful storm called Yolanda (Haiyan) . Thousands of  people died and some of them suffered, Survivors walk through the rubble of damaged homes and a ship that was washed ashore. The city remains littered with debris from damaged homes as many complain of shortages of food and water and no electricity since the typhoon yolanda hits the province .

              ICT helps every people to communicate for their relatives, and it helps to deliver messages through social media like facebook, twitter, instagram, and other useful apps to the governments and other relatives. It helps to know what are the different needs of the yolanda victims. Through online platforms , people posted some calls for the help of  the people around the world and let them know about the situation of their relatives. And through social media people also donate money for the survivors.

                We all know that ICT is very useful in this generation to communicate others .ICT also serves as the pathway to deliver information and helps thousands of people. It helps to locate where the victims are, and it helps to connect with people, and to inform them about important issues affecting their lives and their communities.

            The million people march is the protest of million people in the philippines  beacause of the abolition of the pork barrel fund. The role of ICT in million people march is to informed everyone the event in fund. Through social media like facebook and twitter everyone convene to make a protest on August 2013 at luneta park in manila and let everyone be on that day to unite. As well as the OFW is informed through social media and let them know on what is really happened in the philippines.

           Million people march in the luneta against the pork barrel scam. They protests and fight for the pork barrel scam and arrest Janet Lim-Napoles the mastermind of pork barrel scam into the city jail. Many people supports for this kind of gathering to fight for and many people get anger for this kind of scam.

           The used of  technology for this series become a platform for the change because it is organized through social media or media channels. So that technology is very useful in this generation and it is part of our history because it helps us to show the right way and fight for what is right to the people .

         

      Role of ICT in recent history ( EDSA Dos)

               The EDSA Dos also known as the Second Revolution is a political protest from january 2001 that Joseph Estrada will peacefully resign as a Philippine President. Many people protest from EDSA Shrine in Ortigas Avenue to Ayala Avenue in Makati City. This is to show Estrada that hundreds of thousands of people are already demanding his resignation.

               The role of  ICT in EDSA Dos is that technology like mobile phones was the symbol of People Power II Revolution in the philippines. The use of cellphones for “texting” rather than calls that was the most intriguing part of People Power II and was also the key to its success. The role of technology is surprising . Texting allowed information on former President Estrada’s corruption to be shared widely. It helps the people to protest in the EDSA shrine and overthrew Joseph Estrada as a president in the philippines.

  

                The use of technology in Second Revolution is to communicate others and unite for the success. ICT helps to have a change in our country and play a crucial role in helping the people remove a bad leader. Because people have a power to show the right way by the unity and success with the help of technology to gained the rights and change the nation.

             EDSA Peoples Power Revolution also known as EDSA Revolution was a series of popular demonstrations in the Philippine that began in 1983. EDSA Revolution makes a lot of people to fight for their own rights that Ferdinand Marcos removed from the office and put Corazon Aquino as a president of the Philippines. This revolution caused a big change in every life of the filipinos because at marcos time filipinos where experince tortured and being controlled .

            

             The role of ICT in recent history is to be a communication to everyone and it is the way of information to let everyone know whats the event or happened in the philippines during the marcos time. ICT helps to give information to everyone about why there is EDSA revolution and to learned or gain something about the EDSA revolution peoples power .

             Every people must have an effort to learned about the event in marcos time and use the technology to gain something in the past. Because our generation is a wide technology generation we used it to informed and become knowledgeable to learned the past and not to do thesame .

            People have many reasons in using drugs, some of them says that drugs make them feel good of using it. They think that drugs will help them to relieve stress. People fall into addiction because they begin using of drugs to feel good and forget every problem, they think that they cant live without drugs because drugs make them happy. To quit drugs is hard because addiction is a brain disease, addiction of drugs can control your brain and change the signals and make you feel ok of using drugs.

     
              Drug addiction is a chronic, often relapsing brain disease that causes compulsive drug seeking and use. It is a brain disease because the abuse of drugs leads to changes in the function of the brain. The effect of drug addiction includes the physical and psychological. In physical effect of drug addiction it can be seen into different parts of our body because of it takes place in the brain that can cause diseases. Drug addiction is the cause of stress and a lot of problem to solve that they think about drugs is the way to make them feel good. Drug addiction changes the signals from the brain into the different parts of our body and controls the brain because of the chemicals of the drugs. This changes can affect our physical and become unhealthy that can lead into a different kind of diseases. Some of the physical effects of drug addiction include :

-Contraction of HIV, hepatitis and other illnesses

-Heart rate irregularities, heart attack

-Respiratory problems such as lung cancer, emphysema and breathing problems

-Abdominal pain, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea

-Kidney and liver damage

-Seizures, stroke, brain damage

-Changes in appetite, body temperature and sleeping patterns

                   The psychological effect of drug addiction is because of the drug user are addict about using drugs that change and takes place in the brain once the person is addict about drugs. People used drugs to make them feel ok about the any problems that they encounter , they feel that they need drugs in their daily lives to make them feel good and think that they can't live without drugs . Other effect in psychological in using drugs include : 

-Wild mood swings, depression, anxiety, paranoia, violence

-Decrease in pleasure in everyday life

-Complication of mental illness

-Hallucinations

-Confusion

-Psychological tolerance to the drug's effects creating a desire to do ever-increasing amounts of the -drug

-Desire to engage in risky behavior

                                   

                    Don't make drugs drag you down, avoid using drugs and avoid on any temptation about using drugs. To prevent drugs just understand how drugs affect or develop into our body. Think the effect of drug addiction because once you are addict about drugs it can cause any kind of diseases that can lead you into death. Practice healthier living habits.

                    Be an example to make good things not an influential to everyone to used drugs
